Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

I am the proud mother of Jakob who just turned 3 years old this month. I live in Canada but I'm originally from Thailand. When I was in Thailand, I worked in an international hospitality organization for 5 years, and I also worked at one of the company's branches in Canada for about 2 years. I took a break from full-time work when my son was born.

It all began when I got to know a group of Thai mothers who were interested in early learning. They shared information, resources, and learning materials in a small online community. I came across a discussion about Doman's dot math on one of the message boards I immediately got really interested in using the method with my son who was 15 months old at the time. I started gathering information about Glen Doman's method and bought his books.

I started teaching my son to read using handmade flash cards. I spent hours preparing materials, but the paper cards couldn't hold my son's attention. I was at my wit's end at that point, and I resolved to look for alternative ways of teaching my son - and that's when I came across a blog of a Doman mom. She wrote a review about BrillKids Little Reader and that's when I got to know BrillKids for the very first time. I found BrillKids' websites amazingly resourceful - I was able to find information on nearly every subject regarding early learning.

What's your experience like using BrillKids products?

Since my homemade flash cards were unsuccessful, I decided to buy BrillKids Little Reader.

Jakob read his first word when he was 23 months old and started reading simple sentences when he was 25 months old. I was so happy with BrillKids' Little Reader that I decided to buy Little Math, and later on I also purchased both volumes of Aesop's Fables. My son loves everything BrillKids and it's fun to watch how excited he is whenever we read or view the programs together.

He finished both semesters of Little Reader a few months ago but still loves seeing different content on the program. He is now watching more complex lessons, and also learning to read French and Thai with Little Reader.

How did you learn about the BrillKids Affiliate Program?

Firstly, I joined the BrillKids Affiliate program because it was available for all members. I wasn't really thinking about getting referrals or anything. Then I started to search for Thai parents on the BrillKids forum and was surprised to learn that there were very few of us. This website is so wonderful. I really wish there were more BrillKids members from my home country.

I started inviting my friends from a few Thai online communities to join BrillKids and asked them to use my affiliate code when they registered so that they could get additional loyalty points - of course, it wasn't too bad that I could earn a few bucks if they decided to buy the software.

"In the last 30 days alone, I referred sales totalling $4,527, which gives me a commission of $1,585! What's more, just a few days ago I reached Affiliate level 5, which means that I now get 35% commission on sales!"

What's your experience as a BrillKids Affiliate?

I joined the Brillkids Affiliate program in the beginning of this year and made my first sale in February. I was so thrilled because I really did get credit from BrillKids! In the meantime, I wrote a few posts about teaching my baby to read on Thai parenting message boards. I shared my experience as well as wrote reviews on the tools I have been using. My friends showed great interest in BrillKids Little Reader and asked me how it worked and if it really can help teach babies to read.

Some of them were more comfortable communicating in Thai, so I helped them through the process of purchasing, installing, and making the most out of Little Reader. I have since built good relationships with many of my referrals. We talk, share, and are working hard to reach the same goal – to help our children reach or exceed their potentials.

It was not difficult to get referrals because there are many parents out there who are seeking tools to teach their children. You just need to know where to find them.

I have 328 referrals to date and made 60 sales since January of this year. In the last 30 days alone, I referred sales totalling $4,527, which gives me a commission of $1,585! What's more, just a few days ago I reached Affiliate level 5, which means that I now get 35% commission on sales!

"[Little Reader] changed my life! My son (17 months old at that time) loved the program so much that he got very upset whenever the lessons ended. I stopped making flash cards and mainly used Little Reader to teach my son to read."

What are your strategies for success?

My main strategy consists of knowing the software, making myself reachable and available for all my referrals, continuously blogging and trying to get as much exposure as I could by putting text links and BrillKids banners on my blog. More importantly, I don't do this just for the sake of getting referrals. I do care for all my friends who seek my advice or suggestions regarding early learning. I want to see them succeed and most of all, I want to hear that their little ones enjoy learning!

The best tip of all is to trust and believe in the product you are recommending. Little Reader does teach my son to read. If it works for my son, it must be so for other children.

I think you have to like what you are doing. I love every minute of the referral process. I get excited every time a new referral signs up using my affiliate code. It becomes a fun game for me and at the same time I am pleased that I could be of help by sharing my experience with other parents.
